COVERAGE SUMMARY

LifeSecure is a group life 10-year term program, designed for deposit accounts or credit card customers from Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, that provides the designated beneficiary up to $40,000 in the event of natural, accidental death or death due to illness as described in the policy certificate. In order to confirm your eligibility for the group insurance program, you must make the monthly premium payment using your Banco Popular de Puerto Rico deposit account or credit card of your choice.

To be eligible, you must be between the ages of 18 to 55 and own a deposit account or credit card from Banco Popular de Puerto Rico from which the monthly payment for the life insurance premium should be performed. No medical exam or health questions are required.

The effective date of your policy depends on your enrollment date.

If you enroll in LifeSecure between the 1st and 10th of the month, your coverage effective date will be advanced to the 1st day of the current month. If your enrollment is between the 11th and 30th or 31st of the month, the effective date of your coverage will be deferred to the 1st day of the next month.

Your information will reach us safely and quickly in a quick and safe way regardless of the way you file the claim.

We pay approved claims within 15 days of receiving the proof required. If your claim is denied, you will receive a written explanation with the appeal process. You must submit your claim as soon as reasonably possible.

Single Program:

The cost of your monthly insurance premium will be charged to the Banco Popular de Puerto Rico deposit account or credit card selected in the registration process. This product may be cancelled at any time.

Here are a few things you need to know before you enroll.

This program is provided by Caribbean American Life Assurance Company, part of Assurant, Inc. To enroll you must be between 18 and 55 years and own a deposit account or credit card from Banco Popular de Puerto Rico from which the monthly payment of the life insurance premium is required to be made. The program will automatically expire on your 66th birthday or 10 years after enrolling in the program, whichever comes first.
